Murray Moss is the founder and creative mind behind internationally renowned MOSS design gallery, established in 1994.   

He conceived and curated over a hundred influential exhibitions, at Moss in New York and Los Angeles, as well as other venues, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, the Museum Fur Angewandte Kunst, Frankfurt, Collective Design Fair and the Warhol Foundation in Pittsburgh.

Moss has written three books: Georg Jensen Reflections, (Rizzoli, 2014), Baccarat: Two Hundred and Fifty Years (Rizzoli, 2013), and Tertium Quid, August Editions (2013), and co-authored Please Do Not Touch (Rizzoli, 2018).

In the December 2011 issue of the international magazine, Art + Auction, Murray Moss was included in the magazine’s list, “Most Powerful People in the Art World."

He has been honored with numerous awards, including the Chrysler Design Award, Russel Wright Award, House Beautiful’s Giants of Design Award, Metropolitan Home’s Modernism Award and was inducted into Interior Design Magazine’s Hall of Fame. He has served on the Boards of the Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and the Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids (DIFFA).

Murray Moss is a frequent guest speaker at art academies and universities, as well as cultural institutions around the world, including the TED Talks, the Neue Galerie, the Smithsonian, Cooper- Hewitt National Design Museum, the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Wexner Center for the Arts, Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Cranbrook Academy of Art, Parsons School of Design, the Sackler Gallery in London,  the Wolfsonian-FIU Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art,  the Hammer Museum, and Beijing Center for the Arts.
